I just stumbled across the following article that provides a relatively brief synthesis of 50 years of research on the intelligence of deaf and hard-of-hearing children. I have almost zero knowledge in research in this area....so I cannot judge the quality of the review. This is FYI for those who have an interest and expertise in this area.
