Over on the
NASP listserv, there have been regular posts regarding the
Reynolds Intellectual Assessment Scales (RIAS). Users of the
RIAS with high school and college-age populations might find a new study by
Beaujean et a. (2006) of interest, particularly with regard to predicting
SAT scores (from RIAS scores). This small study can be viewed as a concurrent/criterion-related validity investigation of the RIAS (although the primary focus is on supporting the interpretation of the
SAT as a measure of
g or general intelligence).
Caveat---the sample is small (n=97) and geographically restricted.
