Interesting post on the
BPS Research Digest blog that refutes many studies that have suggested a link betwen childhood intelligence and season of birth. Long story short---when the chronological age of children, from a very large longitudinal sample of 12,000+ children born between 1950-1956, was taken into account, the significance of time of year born disappeared (younger kids at time of school entry tended to have lower measured ability).
