Caution……an average correlation of .35, although significant, still indicates that working memory and math achievement measures share only approximately 12 % common variance. The current findings probably have more relevance to the extant research that has suggested that the real impact of working memory is its indirect effect mediated through fluid reasoning/intelligence (Gf)
