New special issue!
Breaking down silos in motivation science
Special issue editors: Allan Wigfield and Andrew J. Elliot
The guest editors are excited to announce a special issue of Motivation Science on the siloing of research on human motivation and its negative impact on the field's progress.
Eight articles examine different ways that researchers interested in human motivation can break down the various silos that exist in the field, including:
- silos across different subdisciplines of psychology that occur due to different journals and conferences that service each;
- construct-based silos where researchers focus on just one aspect of motivation; and
- silos across different theoretical/epistemological traditions.
